De-Shedding Treatment

A deep-cleaning specialty service that gets the loose undercoat out — not your couch, not your car, not your clothes. Right here, where it belongs.

What's included

If your dog is a heavy shedder, you already know the struggle. Vacuuming twice a week, lint rollers in every room, fur tumbleweeds in the corner. Our de-shedding treatment is a multi-step process that pulls loose undercoat out at the source — reducing shedding around your house by up to 90% for weeks at a time.

  • Pre-bath brush with high-velocity dryer to loosen undercoat
  • Warm bath with de-shedding shampoo & conditioner
  • 15-minute conditioner soak to release loose hair
  • High-velocity blowout to push remaining undercoat out
  • Thorough brush-out with undercoat rake and de-shedding tool
  • Final finishing brush and coat polish

Best for these breeds

Any double-coated dog benefits, but it's a game-changer for Huskies, German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Labs, Australian Shepherds, Corgis, Pomeranians, Chow Chows, and Akitas. We do not shave double-coated breeds — that damages the coat and doesn't reduce shedding long-term. Our process works with the coat the way it's designed to function.

How often should you do it?

Most double-coated dogs blow their coat twice a year — spring and fall. A de-shedding treatment during each shedding season keeps things manageable. For heavy shedders or year-round shedders, every 6 to 8 weeks works well.

What it isn't

This isn't a haircut and it isn't a shave. We're removing dead, loose undercoat — not cutting healthy fur. Your dog will look fluffier and feel lighter, not bald.

What to expect at your visit

Plan on 90 minutes to 2 hours depending on size and coat density. We'll show you the pile of undercoat we pulled out at pickup — owners are always shocked.
